Welcome to enLiven Counseling and Mental Wellness, PLLC.

Feeling uncertain, anxious, and not quite yourself? Do relationships feel off? Maybe there's been a significant loss or change recently? Or unresolved trauma keeps you stuck? I help clients deepen meaningful relationships with themselves and others while learning how to harness a richer authentic life experience. I am passionate about building a warm space where you can focus on your mental healthcare and unpacking whatever challenges you're facing. I provide an affirming, non judgmental approach that allows us to collaborate through human connection and therapeutic modalities.

My style is nurturing yet challenging as needed, creative, and evidence-based. My clients appreciate my intuitive insight. I often use narrative, psychodynamic, existential, ACT (acceptance & commitment), and mindfulness modalities. And I like to incorporate art or music. Additionally, I have extensive experience helping individuals seeking clarity in career and college. I typically see older teen and adult clients in-person at my North Austin location and offer virtual sessions. All are welcome, though my clients are often women of all ages and 20-somethings.

Sometimes it's hard to say "I want more out of my life." Maybe it's even hard to believe things can get better. Are you ready to meet yourself? If so, I honor and welcome your desire to start where you are. Text or email me for a free 15 minute phone introduction and to schedule your first appointment. I look forward to getting to know you!

Counseling and Psychotherapy in North Austin

Getting silly with Dr. Patch Adams, MD
Hi! My name is Noel Gauny. Let’s get real. I’m a single mom of three, a widow, in midlife, and have navigated through career changes, and overcome numerous transitions and hardships. And I'm no stranger to therapy and healing. I share this bit of my story in hopes you feel less alone in where you stand as you contemplate therapy. This is my story, and I'm here to support your journey.
If you're ready to begin your journey with healing and self discovery, I’m here to listen and collaborate. As we work together to elevate your sense of wellness and purpose, I lean on my various life experiences and my empathetic nature to deepen our therapeutic relationship. My first priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where your whole self is invited to settle in. As we get to know each other, I will rely on a handful of modalities to move you forward in your goals.

A little bit about my education...I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University. I also hold a Bachelors degree in English and Masters degree in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. My educational and professional background supports a practice built on inclusivity. I also have early career experience in healthcare and teaching.
Outside of individual counseling, my professional background includes co-leading groups for grief and interpersonal processing. And prior to counseling, my career involved identity strengthening and coaching for international healthcare professionals pursuing advanced academic and career opportunities in the U.S.

I am a nationally certified counselor (NCC) and receive supervised mentorship from Dr. William McHenry (Texas / 67090), a highly seasoned professor and practitioner. I hold memberships with Texas Counseling Association and American Counseling Association.
